Frances E. Pampeyan

Artist

California artist Frances Pampeyan has had a brush in hand since her early childhood memories.  She studied drawing and painting at Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Night School Program, and has continued her art education through workshops instructed by nationally and internationally recognized artists.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is a surgical  RN.

Frances is a member of the California Art Club, the Portrait Society of America, and Mid-Valley Arts League, where she has served on the board.  She is an active member of the art community where she enjoys the camaraderie of painting en plein air with her fellow artists.  She has participated in numerous group shows, including the "Art Matters" show at the Huntington Library, and the California  Art Club show at the Blinn House, and also participates in the Artist-in-Residence program at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena.  She has also had 6 solo shows.  Her work is currently shown and sold at The Irish Gardener in Old Town Monrovia, CA.

She enjoys traveling to new places, in the U.S. and abroad, with her art supplies in tow and sketchbook in hand.  Her subject matter varies from landscapes, portraits, florals and still lifes.  Frances is a breast-cancer survivor, recently having completed her chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and is grateful to the Lord to have the opportunity to paint.  Her passion is to capture portions of God's colorful and beautiful creation on canvas.  Psalm 19:1
